William Gore is not a mad scientist: he is a dedicated medical
researcher working on an AIDS serum. Spurred by his
knowledge of the millions of victims to be saved, he is on the brink
of a major breakthrough. But as things begin to go askew,
he must decide how
far he will go to ensure success. What level of risk will he
take, and who is he prepared to sacrifice? The answers become more
terrifying than you can imagine as William Gore treads a path to
horror.
The Gore Experiment may be fiction, but it addresses real issues in
the world of experimental vaccines, desperately sought disease-busting
drugs and genetic engineering. Science is exposing us to risks through
overconfidence and ignorance of the ramifications.
This is not a book for the faint-hearted. H. Jay Scheuermann adds a
new high-tech dimension to the traditions of horror as William Gore
paves his own road to hell.
